The Manor School of Fine Cuisine at The Nottingham School of Cookery
Day Cookery Course £125
Friday 15th June 2018
James Wood and Claire Tuttey have joined forces and put together this exciting new course.
James Wood is an experimental wild food forager. He’s written for most national magazines, holds cookery demonstrations with the RHS and has appeared on programs for the BBC and other filmmakers.
On the course you will be guided by him on a local forage looking into the extensive range of uses there are for the plants and fungi found growing all around us. He makes paper from mushrooms, sweets from stems and many more exciting food experiments, which he will share with you throughout this in depth course.

You will learn about the seasonal availability of the plants surrounding us, learn how to correctly identify and sustainably harvest wild plants, try lots of pre-made tasters and then harvest our own bounty of wild foods to cook up back at Manor Cuisine Headquarters The Nottingham School of Cookery

The Running of the day:
- Arrive, enjoy a forager’s coffee, wild tea and home cooked bread and jams
- Introductions to the day
- Off on our wild food forage
- Return to the cookery school and try lots of pre -made tasters with a hot drink
- Supervised practical session
- Lunch with wines and soft drinks
- Cook up our desserts and enjoy for afternoon tea
